Homer Middle School students Jared Gee, Sammy Archuletta, Cody Macy and a classmate (with his back to the picture) help during the school's food drive benefiting the Homer Community Food Pantry.
Homer Middle School's valentine to the community turned out to be a huge success. Advisory classes competed with each other, hoping to gather the most cans and win the coveted pizza party promised by the student council.
As the week went on, students brought in more and more food.
We thank the parents for letting the kids raid their food pantries to bring in cans.
By the end of the week, Homer Middle School wound up with a whopping 1700 cans of food.
Mrs. Hudson's winning advisory class had a total of 227 cans of food.
Way to go, Huskies.
