Memorial services are 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, 2005, at the American Legion Post 20 in Kenai.
Mrs. Rozak was born Aug. 28, 1914, in Montrose, Colo. She moved to Alaska in 1941, residing in Yakutat. She moved to Kodiak in 1944 where she met and married her husband Ted Rozak. They had lived in Clear, near Fairbanks and about 1975 moved to Kenai. She was a seamstress.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Elks and Pioneers of Alaska. She was very involved in the American Legion and enjoyed sewing.
"She was a caring, loving person who lived life to the fullest. She spent all her free time helping others and was well liked by everyone," her family said.
Mrs. Rozak was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Rozak; her parents, Myrtle and Roe Monlux, sisters, Ann Wallin and Helen Herschlip and brother George Monlux.
She is survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Earl and Sharon Monlux of Portland, Ore., Jake and Marie Monlux of Hansville, Wash., John and Barbara Monlux of Arroyo Seco, N.M., and Bill and Nancy Monlux of Arroyo Seco, N.M.; sister and brother-in-law, E. Mary and Jimmie Meyers of Anchorage, and stepdaughter, Sandra Maes of Seattle; and several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-nieces and nephews.
The family prefers memorial donations to be sent to the American Legion Post 20, P.O. Box 1044, Kenai, AK 99611.
Arrangements were made by Peninsula Memorial Chapel.
Longtime Kenai resident Lila B. Rozak, 90, died Feb. 17, 2005, at Central Peninsula General Hospital in Soldotna.
