The Homestead Restaurant

7 p.m: “Dinner at the Vineyard”

a beer-tasting dinner. This will be a five-course meal paired with Homer Brewing Co. specialty beers (Oatmeal Stout, Honey Belgium, Imperial Stout, King & Winge ESB, and Franklin).

Cost is $65 per person, including tax and gratuity.

1 and 3 p.m.: Presentation by Melonie Shipman, Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge Education Specialist, entitled “Camping Out with the Elders of Unalaska.” Based on experiences at Camp Qungaayux, an Unalaska culture camp for elders and kids.

Pratt Museum, 3779 Bartlett St., Homer, (907) 235-8635. Admission is free for members, $6 adults, $5.50 seniors, $3 youth 6-18, $20 families of two adults and two children, free for children under 6. New this year is the exhibit “Making Ourselves at Home: Creating a Community on the Benchlands of Kachemak Bay.” It focuses on settlement of the bay’s north shores during the first half of the 20th century. The area’s natural history comes alive through the museum’s other exhibits. Visitors can hike or snowshoe the Forest Trail at the museum.

Homer Chamber of Commerce

The chamber is located at 201 Sterling Highway in Homer. The phone number is (907) 235-7740. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Homer Theatre

The theater is located at the corner of Pioneer Avenue and Main Street. Special $4 admission for Arctic Games athletes, staff & volunteers.
