There is still space for employers who want to have a booth at the fair. Employers who want to participate must have Workers Compensation Insurance and a state/federal tax ID number.
Employers wanting more information about the fair should contact Lisa Croft at the Homer Job Center, 235-7792 or lisa.croft@alaska.gov. The deadline for employers to register for the fair is March 12.
The fair is a chance for adults looking for work or seeking information about different careers to apply for jobs and connect with potential employers and training providers, as well as an opportunity for high school and college students to explore their options.
Among the employers who will attend are Land's End Resort, Crowley, Safeway, South Peninsula Hospital, Wells Fargo and Community Mental Health.
There will be presentations on everything from Alaska's high-growth jobs to financial assistance for college to apprentice and training opportunities.
There is no cost for employers or for job seekers. Job seekers are encouraged to bring their resumes and dress for potential interviews.
The fair is sponsored by the Kachemak Bay Campus, the Homer Chamber of Commerce, Project GRAD, Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce Development, the Youth Job Training Program and the Homer News.
