Larry Martin to be inducted into ASAA Hall of Fame

Two-time Olympian and Homer resident Larry Martin is slated to be inducted into the Alaska School Activities Association Hall of Fame on April 11.

The Booster Club at Homer High School originally nominated Martin. He is one of the five individuals to be inducted into the Hall of Fame this year.

He competed in the 1972 Winter Olympics in Sapporo, Japan, and then in 1976 in Innsbruck, Austria, taking on the world's best in Nordic skiing.

Julie McCarron with the Booster Club said, "We thought he was a worthy candidate and we were happy to hear that they had accepted him."
