Ski club appreciates HEA's support

The Kachemak Ski Club (KSC) would like to thank the Homer Electric Association for another highly successful "HEA Day" at the Ohlson Mountain Rope Tow. This past Sunday, HEA provided free food and drinks to more than 75 skiers, snowboarders and their families, and we recognized HEA for its long-standing support of KSC's mission: to provide winter recreational opportunities to youth, teens and families on the Kenai Peninsula.

KSC is one of Homer's oldest nonprofit groups, and our partnership with HEA dates back more than 40 years. We are a small volunteer organization, and we could not run the rope tow and provide the only downhill skiing and snowboarding facility on the Kenai Peninsula without HEA's strong support. Thanks again to HEA, and we hope everyone will join us each Sunday from 11a.m.-4 p.m. for some great outdoor exercise and fun.

And we always can use more volunteers. You can get more information at www.facebook.com/homerropetow
