The varsity girls and boys teams finished third overall in the team standings behind Soldotna and Palmer while the junior varsity teams placed skiers in the top three positions in both girls' and boys' races.
"Homer was a total presence at regions, with over 35 racers competing," said Assistant Coach Megan Corazza, adding, "Everyone skied hard, knowing they were not only competing for themselves and team place, but also for a chance to go to the state competition this weekend."
Maggie Bursch, who finished eleventh overall with a time of 39:09, led the Homer girls' varsity team.
Following closely behind Bursch were her teammates Jaclyn Arndt, Emma Laukitis and Frances Bursch. They finished 12th, 13th and 14th respectively.
For the Homer boys, Will Anderson cracked the top 10 with a 43:11 time on the 7.5-kilometer course.
His time was good enough for seventh place, while his twin brother Jack Anderson came in 16th with a time of 44:59.
