B'ball tourney starts today

Dear sports fans,

Mark your calendars today, Friday and Saturday for an every eight-year event. The Region III basketball tournament is on its way, and we are hosting.

We need your enthusiasm and your cheering energy to support the Homer Mariners during their games. Many of these athletes play harder for you when they know you are there and hear you cheering them on. The game schedule will depend on the results of the first game.

The Lady Mariners play at 6 p.m. today and the boys follow at 8:15 p.m. Come and enjoy the entertainment these young athletes have to offer. Hope to see you there.

If you would like to lend a hand for this big event, please call Kim Greer at 235-4310 or Sara Reinert at 235-8763 and sign up for an hour or two of concession or gate.
