Returning from the State Drama, Debate and Forensics Championship in Sitka, with more than 150 students from 18 schools throughout the state competing, Homer High School brought home an enviable number of awards.

The community can congratulate the HHS DDF team at a benefit movie night Friday. Homer Family Theatre presents "Slumdog Millionaire" as a fundraiser for the team. Showtime is 8:30 p.m.
