Snowshoes in all sizes are available free for loan to CACS members or $5 for nonmembers at the CACS headquarters on Lake Street next to Ulmer's. Guided snowshoe walks are held noon-1 p.m. Tuesdays and Fridays at the Wynn Center.

A spring volunteer gathering is 6-7:30 p.m. March 25 with a dessert potluck at 708 Smokey Bay Way. Learn about volunteer opportunities in teaching, advertising, work parties, office work, gardening and more.

CACS has established the Terry Shepherd Memorial Fund in honor of CACS director Terry Shepherd, who died Feb. 10. Donations support scholarships for youth to attend CACS summer camps. Donations may be made at Wells Fargo Bank. Call 235-6667 or visit www.akcoastalstudies.org.
