Longtime Homer resident, Mr. Arthur "Art" S. Tlucka, 61, died Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009. of natural causes at his home in Homer.
An Arthur Tlucka celebration of life is 1 p.m. Sunday, March 22, 2009, at Kharacters, 3150 Shelford Street in Homer. The scattering of his ashes will be held at a later date.

His family wrote, "He will be missed by his family and friends."
Mr. Tlucka was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Tlucka. He is survived by his mother, Shirley Tlucka of California; brother, Bruce Tlucka of California; and sister, Linda Dasse of California. Arrangements were by the Homer Funeral Home.
Mr. Tlucka was born Aug. 5, 1947, to Arthur Henry and Shirley Ethel (Doremus) Tlucka in Montville, N.J. Arthur was a free spirit "born under a wandering star," an adventurer whose travels led him to many places around the country and various jobs. Around 1982 he settled in Alaska working on fishing boats. It was during this time Art had an unfortunate accident that left him with disabilities and unable to travel. His wishes were to live out his life in Homer.
