Voznesenka Cougars' middle school wrestlers wrapped up the season in style.

At the recent State Wrestling Tournament in Fairbanks, Gavril Kalugin placed fourth and Dennis Martishev placed seventh.

Prior to state, the Cougars also left their mark at borough competition. Dennis Martishev took first place in the 110 weight bracket; Plato Basargin latched onto second in the 160 weight bracket; Timon Reutov claimed second in the 100 weight bracket; and Avraam Kalugin laid hold to third in the 100 weight bracket.

Other Cougars that worked hard this season were Ernie Kuzmin, Sergie Polushkin, Nikola Kalugin and Kirick Reutov.
