Chamber of Commerce
Alaska Attorney General David Marquez will be the guest speaker at the chamber’s March 22 luncheon, which begins at noon at the Anchor River Inn.
Senior Citizen Center
I had the opportunity to view the two beautiful quilts being auctioned off by the senior center while attending the Dawson Slaughter Benefit on Saturday. (By the way, the food was fabulous.) You definitely don’t want to miss out on a chance to buy a raffle ticket on these quilts, which are both homemade with lots of love and care. The tickets are on sale for $2 each or three for $5. The tickets can be purchased from one of the members or at the center. The drawing will be June 15.
CERT training
For those who missed the triage, there will be a triage review plus a little education on how the EMTs do their triage at 7 tonight at the senior center.
In mid-April, the EMT 1s will finish their training and do practices. They are inviting CERT participation for a little cross-training. A reminder: CERT members must always find their replacements. If you no longer want to be involved or plan to move away, please bring back your gear so it can be put to use.
