Pet of the Week

You probably heard what “Men’s Journal” said about Homer: “A weird abundance of smart, beautiful women.” Yeah, and our dogs are pretty damn cute, too. Take Sitka. With her little eyebrows, floppy ears and deep brown eyes, she’ll melt the heart of all those buff, single men soon to arrive by the planeload here at the end of the road.

Sitka is 3-months-old, kennel trained, good with kids, other dogs and even c-a-t-s. A Labrador retriever-Rottweiler mix, she loves attention, is very sweet and knows how to fetch.

If you’d like to adopt a pet, call or stop by the Animal Shelter across from Public Works off the Sterling Highway. The shelter is open Tuesday-Saturday, noon to 5 p.m. Call 235-3141 for more information.
