That's the date for this year's Homer College, Career and Job Fair. It will be from 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. at the Kachemak Bay Campus, 533 E. Pioneer Ave.
While the fair will provide lots of opportunities for students to learn about potential jobs and the training they need to get them, the fair also is an opportunity for the general public to apply for jobs and connect with potential employers and training providers.
Among the employers who will attend are Land's End Resort, Crowley, Safeway, South Peninsula Hospital, Wells Fargo and Community Mental Health.
Job seekers are encouraged to bring their resumes and dress for potential interviews. There will be presentations on everything from Alaska's high-growth jobs to financial assistance for college to apprentice and training opportunities.
The fair is sponsored by the Kachemak Bay Campus, the Homer Chamber of Commerce, Project GRAD, Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce Development, the Youth Job Training Program and the Homer News.
