A man at 4:06 a.m. reported a drunk person walking in the road on East Hill Road.
A man at 10:48 a.m. reported a scam involving his Craigslist ad.
Police at 8:49 p.m. saw a man sleeping in the back seat of a vehicle in the ditch on Svedlund Street. The man refused help.
A man at 2:35 p.m. reported a burglary attempt at a Pioneer Avenue restaurant.
March 6
A person at 5:41 p.m. made a 911 call reporting a friend threatened suicide. Police took the suicidal person to the hospital.
Police at 11:02 p.m. arrested a 26-year-old man on East Hill Road on an outstanding warrant and for driving with a revoked license.
March 7
A caller at 4:30 a.m. reported a vehicle in the ditch on Lake Street. Police contacted the driver, a 40-year-old man, and arrested him for driving under the influence, refusal to submit to a chemical test and sixth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance, marijuana.
A man at 5:52 p.m. reported a disturbance at a Fairview Avenue home. Police responded and found all was OK.
March 8
A caller at 8:01 a.m. reported a man in his 60s was stuck in the snow in his wheelchair on Pioneer Avenue. Police helped the man get home safely.
Police at 11:08 a.m. helped remove a moose from Bartlett Street.
The harbormaster at 2:22 p.m. reported four parked cars obstructing snow removal on the Homer Spit Road.
The Alaska State Troopers at 3:48 p.m. reported a school bus off the road on East End Road inside city limits and asked for help with traffic control. No one was injured in the incident.
A plow-truck driver at 10:34 p.m. reported a man in a 1996 Jeep tried to drive up snow piles at a Ben Walters Lane parking lot and got stuck. Police warned the driver for DUI.
A woman at 11:58 p.m. asked police to do a welfare check on her adult daughter after an unknown man answered the phone at her daughter's home. Police found all to be OK.
A woman at 1:27 p.m. came to the police station with a dog that needed to be taken to the animal shelter.
March 9
Police at 1:31 a.m. arrested a 31-year-old man on a fugitive from justice warrant out of Kansas.
A caller at 10:38 a.m. reported a car accident involving multiple vehicles on Lake Street at the north side of Beluga Lake.
A person at 10:43 a.m. made a 911 call of an altercation at a Bay Avenue home. Police were busy on another call.
A woman at 5:55 p.m. reported a vehicle in the ditch with a possibly drunk driver near Mile 2 East End Road. Police responded and arrested a 53-year-old man for DUI.
A woman at 6:15 p.m. reported a dog removed from their Early Spring Street property without their permission and taken to the animal shelter on March 8.
March 10
A man at 9:08 a.m. made several calls regarding someone taking his dog without permission from his Early Spring Street home.
Police between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. issued warnings to numerous vehicles for impeding snow removal.
A woman at 2:37 p.m. reported huge berms of snow being dumped on her Kachemak Drive property that obstructed her vision when entering the road.
A caller at 2:55 p.m. reported a vehicle collision on the Sterling Highway.
Police at 3:46 p.m. saw a vehicle collision on Pioneer Avenue.
A caller at 3:56 p.m. reported a vehicle collision on Kramer Lane.
An ambulance driver at 4:38 p.m. reported being hit by another car on Pioneer Avenue near the Sterling Highway.
A caller at 4:55 p.m. reported a vehicle collision with injury on Rochelle Road.
A woman at 4:56 p.m. reported losing money in a phone scam.
Police at 7:27 p.m. escorted a car taking a man who had severed several fingers to the hospital.
A caller at 8:19 p.m. reported someone in a neighboring apartment on Lupine Court yelling and throwing things. Police responded.
March 11
Several callers at 7:12 p.m. reported items stolen from cars on Danview Avenue.
A woman at 7:55 p.m. reported someone trying to get into her car on Pioneer Avenue.
March 12
A woman at 11:29 p.m. reported her dog was growling and she saw footprints in the snow around her South Slope home. Police responded and determined it was a security company checking homes.
