“Boating Safety and Essential Navigation” class is April 8-13 with marine safety instructor Chris Lopez; includes pool session. Deadline to register is March 31. Fly fishing class begins Friday. Global Climatic Change, taught by Ed Berg, begins March 30. The public is invited at 7:30 p.m. March 25 to a literary reading conducted by noted visiting essayist Sherry Simpson. It will be held in the new campus commons at the East Campus. This reading is open to the public at no cost.

An art show is going on now in the campus commons featuring watercolor paintings from participants in Paula Dickey’s recent class.

Registration for the Kachemak Bay Writers’ Conference has begun; register early. Visit writersconference.homer.alaska.edu.
