Homer Photo Fest 2009 holds a nationwide portfolio competition for the festival Aug. 4-8 in Homer. Amateur or professional photographers living in the U.S. can enter for a chance to be chosen to exhibit in the festival, and the juror's choice wins airfare to Homer for Photo Fest and a $300 stipend, as well as a portfolio review. Two honorable mentions received a $300 stipend and a solo exhibition for Photo Fest. Photo Fest 2009 jurors are Keith Carter, Ted Orland, Barry McWayne and Amy Scott.
