Commercial salmon fishing license sales for Cook Inlet are far behind normal for this time of year, according to Jim Rearden, area biologist for the inlet. Deadline for buying salmon net and salmon fishing vessel licenses is April 15. "Many fisherman are waiting for the canneries to buy their licenses," Rearden said.
