Now, or 10 years down the road

I am glad to see that two citizens of this community took time to write their views on the natural gas transmission line from Anchor Point to Homer. Both solutions have merit, but in both cases the solutions to our high energy costs are 10-15 years down the road. We need a solution now, and the transmission line is the only project that is shovel ready and could happen in 2012-2013. If completed, this project will save the taxpayers $500,000 a year alone on just the schools and hospital heating costs. I strongly urge both these writers to develop their plans so that we can to continue to have clean, low cost energy a decade from now.
