March 24

A caller at 12:55 p.m. reported an unknown amount of money was taken from his bank account by an unknown person.

Police at 11:46 p.m. removed a drunk man from Safeway and took the man home.

March 25

A woman at 5 p.m. reported finding a suspicious package.

Police at 7:23 p.m. stopped a driver near Mile 1 East End Road and issued him a summons for driving without a valid license.

March 26

A high school official at 12:07 p.m. reported a girl in her office with alcohol.

A man at 5:13 p.m. reported two chocolate Labrador retrievers chasing a cow moose and her calf off East End Road. The Animal Control officer and the Alaska Department of Fish and Game were advised.

Police at 6:56 p.m. issued a summons to a 46-year-old man for shoplifting at a Pioneer Avenue store.

March 27

An anonymous caller at 1:19 p.m. reported possible neglect of an infant child. Police notified the Office of Children's Services.

A man at 2:12 p.m. made a 911 call that someone trace obscene gestures in the ash on his vehicle. The caller said he just wanted the incident documented.

March 28

A caller at 2:32 a.m. reported a moose was hit by a car on the Sterling Highway.

Medics at 3:59 a.m. reported a woman dressed inappropriately for the weather walking along East End Road. Police could not find the woman.

A man at 2:45 p.m. reported a man panhandling in front of a Lake Street business.

A man at 4:30 p.m. reported someone broke out a side window and stole stereo equipment from his car parked on Adams Drive.

A woman at 6:29 p.m. reported a domestic dispute at an E Street home. Police arrested a 51-year-old man for assault.

March 29

A man at 3:12 p.m. reported a man who had been issued a trespass notice was panhandling in front of a Lake Street business. Police responded and the man had moved across the street.

A hospital employee at 6:58 p.m. asked police to help with an aggressive male patient. Police took the man into protective custody.

A caller at 7:54 p.m. reported an injured sea otter on the Ocean Drive Loop beach. Police contact the Alaska SeaLife Center in Seward. Two Homer stranding network volunteers picked up the injured otter and took it to a veterinarian. The otter was found to have a non-survivable infection and was euthanized.

An anonymous caller at 7:08 p.m. reported a man with a large amount of marijuana would be trying to board the ferry.

March 30

Police at 9:57 p.m. received a faxed report of stolen property from the construction locker at the high school.

March 31

A hospital employee at 2:44 a.m. asked police to help with an unruly patient. Police responded and took the patient home.
