Members of the Homer Broomball League, who wrapped up their regular season Wednesday, will face out-of-town competition for the first time Saturday when they play host to the Alaska State Broomball Tournament at Kevin Bell Arena. Throwing three teams into the mix, HBL players hope to wrest the state trophy from the clutches of Anchorage Broomball, who won it last year. The action begins at 1:30 p.m. and is open to the public.
