All around town there is a celebration of young peoples' art. The beautiful pieces are part of Art Jubilee. This year is exceptional. West Homer students have art hung at the Pratt Museum, Spenard Builders Supply, NBA Insurance Services, Center for Alaskan Coastal Studies, Cafe Cups, Homer City Hall, Kachemak Bay Branch College, Homer Council on the Arts and Kachemak Bay Research Reserve. There is also a beautiful show hung in the halls of West Homer Elementary. All this was possible because of a parent volunteer, Suzanne Haines Harrison. She gathered the art, labeled it and had it hung around this beautiful hamlet by the sea. Thanks Suzanne for getting this art out and into the community. Thanks to all the businesses who act as galleries! What a great place to live!
