Dickie is neutered, and he loves being in a safe place outside or inside. His owners are allergic to his fur, though, and have reluctantly dropped him at the shelter so he can find a new home.
If you'd like to adopt a pet, call or stop by the Animal Shelter across from Public Works off the Sterling Highway. The shelter is open seven days a week, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Call 235-3141 for more information.
Dickie is a single, snow-white male. He enjoys bonding with children and other cats. The neighborhood rabbits wonder about Dickie, though. "Is he a cat, or a rabbit?" they ask. See, Dickie has a very short tail with long fur, and from a certain angle, it makes this five-year-old cat look like a rabbit.
