After respectfully disengaging for the summer, it is our desire to return in the fall wearing different hats. We feel we can then better serve the Club by returning to work in capacities which use our best talents and enthusiasms. In September, I hope to be the new staff person in the Tech Center, and I look forward to designing and teaching new youth development programs, and to having the time to work more personally with our members, which I have dearly missed. Jane is moving out of the administrative role at the Club and is hoping to move into a coordinator's position whose sole focus is the creation, implementation, and management of the "Mercury Classic," which is to be launched in October, 2004. (Think Nenana Ice Classic but exchange ice break-up for guessing temperatures.) Our allegiance to the Boys & Girls Club has not diminished, but simply changed paths. It has been an honor to serve our community and youth for these extraordinary and rewarding three years. Thank you for the opportunity!
See you around,
DeWaine and Jane Tollefsrud
