Hopping down the bunny trail.
That's right Peter Cottontail will be heading toward Anchor Point Sunday. He plans on stopping by Anchor Point VFW Post 10221 and is going to be leaving goodies for all the girls and boys.
I heard through the grapevine he will then head to Homer to spread goodies there before he heads to Seldovia. If you get up early you may catch him in his travels, but don't stop to talk because he has a full schedule come this Sunday.
Talking with some members of our community it saddens me to find out that there have been some people trying to break into homes carrying a firearm. I had the opportunity to join in bingo fun at the Senior Center on March 29 and one of the bingo players said her grandson was home when four people came to their door, one carrying a firearm and trying to get in. In this case they were not successful, but if someone comes and knocks on your door, please make sure you know who it is before you open it.
Have a good weekend and be careful on the road.
