No justice in U.S. system
Ted Stevens has demonstrated that, in Alaska, crime does pay. In the same way that some banks are too big to fail, Ted Stevens is too powerful to be prosecuted. The godfather of organized political crime in Alaska was "lucky" enough to draw the least competent prosecutors in the fascist criminal Cheney-Bush regime. If these moron prosecutors had turned over the documents, there was still overwhelming evidence of Stevens' guilt. Rove and Gonzales had purged prosecutors that demonstrated any tendency toward integrity or competence. But the Stevens prosecutors were kept on to ensure Stevens would eventually get off on a technicality.
If there was any justice in the U.S. "justice" system, Ted Stevens would spend the rest of his corrupt hard-core fascist criminal life sharing a cell in a federal penitentiary with Dick Cheney. Even if Holder had decided to re-try Stevens and gotten a conviction, it would have been reversed on appeal when Scalia, Thomas, Alito, Roberts and the soft-core fascist Justice Kennedy got the case.
Now that the most corrupt, vicious, lying hard-core fascist criminal vermin politician in Alaska history has demonstrated there are no consequences for subverting the U. S. Constitution or selling out the voters for personal profit, you can expect to see the lesser Alaskan hard-core fascists like Sarah Palin, Lisa Murkowski, et al., expanding their already considerable efforts to further prostitute the political system. Don Young has already expanded that envelope to the extreme, but now has nothing to worry about, despite Abramoff's conviction and Coconut Road.
