Fifteenth Annual Safe Kids Fair
South Peninsula Hospital and the Kenai Peninsula SAFE Kids South are sponsoring the Fifteenth Annual Safe Kids Fair from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. April 28 at Homer High school. Activities include a bike rodeo (helmets are required and will be available to buy), water safety in the pool, booths, door prizes and appearances by Safety Seal, Smokey Bear and Coastie, Admission is free. Sign up now for Basic Aid Training for 8-10 year-olds. Participants will learn how to identify and prevent potentially harmful situations, how to treat common injuries and how to respond in emergency situations. SPH is accepting donations of old bikes for this event; drop them off at the HHS parking lot at the trailer provided. For information or to register, call 235-0258.
