Homer Community Schools is offering the following classes: Stressbusters, 7-8:30 p.m. April 16 at Homer High School. Learn and practice easy self-help techniques to respond to stress and upset, find out more about the energy systems of our bodies and minds and identify and defuse the “zing” of negative emotions from everyday events with an introduction to the Emotional Freedom Technique. For more information, call 235-1822 and ask for Coire. Basic Adult Partner Dance will be Friday evenings April 20-May 18 at Homer High School. Level 1 will be from 6-7:30 p.m. and Level 2 from 7:30- 9 p.m. Individuals and couples welcome. Participants must sign up for entire series (Level 1 or 2); a couple is defined as the same two people (does not have to be male and female) attending the series together. Level 2 participants must have taken Level 1, or know basic steps. Fee is $85 per person, $145 per couple for each series. Instructor is Jo Going. Qi Gong will be held from 6-9 p.m. April 9 and from 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m. April 14 at Homer High School. The ancient form of Chi Lei balances circulations of all systems and organ flows, promoting health, longevity, mental clarity and diseases prevention. Participants must attend both days. Bring water bottle and snack and wear comfortable clothing. Cost is $75 for new students, $50 for repeat students to review.
