Triathlon terrific
Dear Editor,

Saturday, March 30, was a glorious day for a race. Nineteen iron men, 11 iron women, and 12 teams participated in the 14th Annual Sea-to-Ski triathlon from Mariner Park on the Homer Spit to the Sterling Highway Baycrest trailhead. Three iron girls and six teams raced the shorter kids-course this year.

We extend a big thank you to Solstice Music and Homer Saw & Cycle for their generous major sponsorship of this last race of the ski season and to all the volunteers who helped set trail, register racers, monitor the course, keep time, provide refreshments and tend the fire at the finish. Special thanks to Dave and Molly Brann for coordinating this event and organizing the volunteers. We look forward to doing it again next year.

Mary Griswold, on behalf of Kachemak Nordic Ski Club
