VFW to hold Easter Egg Hunt

Let that sunshine in. What glorious weather we are having. Hopefully we have enough time so all that sun can soak up some of the snow before the kids get out and hunt for Easter Eggs. Let’s see that green, green grass of home. It’s that time again where we all need to shake off that wintertime dust and get ready for some summertime fun. To all the families who are traveling: Be safe out there.

Chamber of Commerce

The Anchor Point Chamber of Commerce will hold a special meeting on the gravel pit ordinance at the senior center at 7 tonight. The meeting on the community plan will be at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Anchor River Inn.

Tonight’s dinner is a choice of pork steak or beef, chicken or bean burritos. Dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m. There is a $5 charge for members, $7 for nonmembers.

 Preparedness training

Anchor Point residents are invited to a free wildfire preparedness information training from 6-10 p.m. Monday at the Alaska Islands and Ocean Visitor Center in Homer.
