Feline leukemia isn't contagious to humans, but it means Gary can't live with other cats a slight problem at the animal shelter. Plus, Gary is so handsome that he keeps hogging the mirror in the morning, and other cats are getting testy.
Gary enjoys living inside now. While he won't live to be 100, he hopes to be lucky enough to find a friendly home.
If you'd like to adopt a pet, call or stop by the Animal Shelter across from Public Works off the Sterling Highway. The shelter is open seven days a week, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Call 235-3141 for more information.
Would a cat enjoy being outside all the time? Would he like romping in the snow or skiing? Please! Gary is Siamese. He lived outside for a little while, but he got what a veternarian diagnosed as feline leukemia.
