Rose was a construction worker living at a cabin on the property of Butch and Patty Bullard.
Troopers said the fire began in the cabin and spread to the Bullard's new house, a sauna and a six-wheel all-terrain vehicle.
Troopers estimated damages to be about $300,000. The cause of the fire has not been determined.
"There was no evidence found at the scene that suggested it was arson," said Investigator Dane Gilmore of the Alaska Bureau of Investigation, Soldotna.
Gilmore said the state medical examiner's office told him it defined Rose's death as a noncriminal death.
Acting Chief Medical Examiner Frank Fallico said at this time his office is calling Rose's death an accidental death caused by fire.
There were insufficient remains to determine the exact mechanism of death, Fallico said.
