George Morey was born Oct. 7, 1931, in Oakland, Calif. George and his late wife Pat spent a great deal of time traveling before settling in Homer in 1979. George loved to tell stories, especially childhood stories such as when he got caught smoking in school. He liked to play darts with his daughter, Cheryl, and son, Bill, and numerous friends. George was a loving husband and father and enjoyed being around his grandkids. He loved to fish, though he often admitted that he was not particularly good at it.
