Kachemak Bay Campus, Kenai Peninsula College-University of Alaska Anchorage, has announced the opening of the Spring Student Showcase at Ptarmigan Arts Gallery from 5-7 p.m. Friday. The show features work from this year’s watercolor painting, sculpture, multi-media, three-dimensional design, ceramics and drawing classestaught by Asia Freeman, Maygen Janetta, Karla Freeman, Kathie Baldwin, Paula Dickey and Carl Bice. The exhibit continues through May 4.
Library sells books, plants, baked goodies

Chamber artists perform
Andrew Cook and Friends, a concert of chamber music with Andrew Cook, cello, Maria Allison, piano, Tammy Vollom-Matturro, clarinet and Emily Grossman, violin, will perform in the commons area of the Kachemak Bay Campus, Kenai Peninsula College-University of Alaska Anchorage, at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. There is no admission.
Actor gives new body angle
Anchorage performance artist Brian Hutton will give a 30-minute performance on the expexriecne of being a writer and model in a life drawing group from the model’s perspective, at Bunnell Street Gallery, 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $5.
Art’s way explored
