Amped Café has recently reopened under the management of Brice and Megan Wilson. Café hours are 7 a.m.-5 p.m. The menu includes organic coffee, fresh baked goodies, deli sandwiches with breakfast and lunch specials. Kids of all ages are welcome in this smoke- and alcohol-free environment. Food and beverage service is available during all music and community events.
On April 29, two high school bands, CTTC and Creatures, will perform, starting at 6 p.m. There is no cover charge.

Contractor knocks out power
A contractor hitting a power line in the West Hill - Skyline Drive area knocked out power for 20 minutes last Wednesday. According to Homer Electric Association spokesman Joe Gallagher, the accident caused a fault that cut off power to about 2,500 Homer area residents around 3 p.m. April 12. No one was injured in the accident. HEA crews completed fixing the problem by about 3:35 p.m.
