Homer Council on the Arts was insightful enough to bring the Bluestones' Woven Harmony to town; the Bluestones offered a unique and personal view of the relationship between the arts and healing. HCOA provided the community many and varied venues to experience the Bluestones including a free talk with HOH staff and volunteers.
One Lord Sunday/Service Sunday's interfaith volunteers assisted hospice staff in spring cleaning and inventorying of medical equipment. In the midst of the project, hospice received a call for a hospital bed; other interfaith volunteers were recruited with the bed being delivered within the hour.
Thanks to Homer Council on the Arts and One Lord Sunday/Service Sunday volunteers for what you do.
Darlene Hilderbrand, executive director
Hospice of Homer
