The Center for Alaskan Coastal Studies 2008-2009 Winter Snowshoe Loan program has been a huge success. One hundred and thirty-four pairs of snowshoes were loaned out during the last six months. This brought many people outside who may not have been able to experience winter in this way otherwise.
