Baechler receives award
Homer Middle School student Nyssa Baechler was chosen as the school's recipient of the 2003 Masonic Outstanding Student Award. Along with winners from other schools, Baechler will be recognized at a ceremony at Kenai Central High School today. Each student will receive a Certificate of Achievement, personal plaque and books, and a $50 savings bond. Finalists from the Homer junior high included Amy Fell, Lauren Bell, and Abbie Marrale.
