Pet of the Week

Tucker
There once was a dog named Tucker ... no, never mind. Suffice to say that Tucker is a koala-loving, sheep-herding, boom-a-rang-chasing Australian shepherd. He's a young neutered male with the unique red merle coloring of a purebred. He was found as a stray and during his time at the shelter he's exhibited nothing but enthusiasm, happiness and tons o' energy. He loves to play fetch and responds well to the basic obedience commands. If you don't have any sheep that need to be herded, Tucker will undoubtedly make a first-class Frisbee dog and be a truly loyal companion.

If you would like to adopt a pet, call or stop by the Homer Animal Shelter on the Bypass across from the post office. The shelter is open seven days a week, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Call 235-3141, e-mail pow@homeranimals.com., or visit www.homeranimals.com.
