Maka Fairman, open a history book. There you will find useful information about such things as the Civil War. That was when the new colonies decided they no longer wanted to be under British rule. In other words we wanted a democracy not a monarchy. Ever since then, something like 200-plus years, we have had to fight for our freedoms. Those freedoms are, and have been assured through the strength of our standing military.

I am amused that you would presume to speak for God, or whatever name you wish to place on Him, but if you ever read the Koran, you would know that the true believers of that "bible" believe in the wholesale destruction of all those that don't believe in their version of religion.

Just so you are aware of the facts, I have always, and will always support the troops, whether I support the actions that they are doing so long as it is commanded by our Commander in Chief. Clinton had eight years, and all he did was stain the rug in the Oval Office and get our troops murdered in Bosnia, Yemen and any other place he could send them.

I just said goodbye to a friend who was killed by Vietnam 35 years after he left there. I also watched two young men leave for the armed services, one to Kuwait and probably on to Iraq. The other will probably go straight to Iraq or Afghanistan. My niece is in the Navy. Despite people like you that blame America for all the world's problems, they volunteered for service. They are off to protect our way of life.

If you hate this country so much, please use one of the many exits on each and every border, and don't bother to come back. It's your way of thinking that is destroying this country. I conducted a poll to prove that statement. Especially since most Americans, like 98 percent, do support our troops. I conducted my own poll for that, too.
