Homer Alaska - Announcements -

Story last updated at 11:36 PM on Wednesday, May 7, 2008

Pet of the Week

Some people hate to stand still. They live for the open road and can't fall asleep without the rocking of a boat or train. Susie Q is not one of those.

She's a three-year-old, spayed sweetheart, and she's had all of her shots. After braving the trip by plane to Homer from Kodiak, ears flattened against her head the whole way, she decided she'd rather settle down right here, thank-you-very-much.

This little domestic goddess is very friendly and loving. She can't wait to make a new home with the right family.

If you would like to adopt a pet, call or stop by the animal shelter across from Public Works off the Sterling Highway. The shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday, noon-5 p.m. Call 235-3141 for information.
