"We believe the broad scope of the initiative on the August ballot will have unforeseen and detrimental affects on personal property rights, development in general and mining certainly throughout the state," the association's leadership said in a statement announcing its support.
On Aug. 26, Alaska voters will decide the fate of the Alaska Clean Water Initiative.
The association's statement reflects its vision to create an environment that promotes and protects private property rights and encourages real property ownership
The association represents more than 1,600 members involved in the residential and commercial real estate industries.
