Air Force Maj. Jeffery D. Becker has assumed command of the 387th Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron, Keesler Air Force Base, Biloxi, Miss. Becker has 19 years of military service. He is the son of Dave and Eileen Becker of Homer. His siblings are Gary Becker and Sheri Becker, both of Eagle River. The major graduated in 1987 from Homer High School, and received a bachelor's degree in 1995 from the University of Alaska Anchorage. He earned a master's degree in 2006 from Central Michigan University, Mount Pleasant.
