It is appalling how much funding has been cut for our rural schools. It’s very sad to watch kids suffer through shoddy education or teachers being completely burnt out because they have to make do or pull money from their own pockets. Our job as a community is to protect our children’s educations and support our teachers and schools. When I read they are getting rid of 99 teachers on the peninsula my first question was “from where?” We cannot afford to lose anymore teachers. This lawsuit is long overdue.

Do you support the Kenai Peninsula Borough pursuing a lawsuit against the state in an effort to more fairly fund schools on the peninsula?
Our communities deserve the same attention that Anchorage deserves. Let’s try to make this an equal deal.
