Senior Amanda Conley scored a hat trick Friday against Skyview and assisted another senior, Bailey Lowney for the game-winning goal Saturday against Nikiski.
Conley's three goals came during the Mariners 5-0 win.
"It was one of my better games," Conley said. "Everything came together as a team, we outhustled Skyview."
Head Soccer Coach Mickey Todd called the game the best of her career.
"Not only a hat trick," Todd said. "But (she) also played some exceptionally tough defense on Skyview's fullbacks."
Conley scored on a breakaway in the first half and then on a shot through the keepers legs to make the score 2-0.
Freshman Kalie Petska got into the action in the first half scoring the Mariners third goal, before Conley scored her third, all in the first half.
Freshman Emily Kizzia added a goal in the second half.
In Saturday's game against Nikiski, Conley found Lowney breaking for the goal in the opening minutes to give Homer a 1-0 lead.
The score remained 1-0 the rest of the game.
After pictures were taken and flowers were handed out to Conley, Lowney and Katie Gavenus playing in their last home game as seniors, Conley said she liked the way the games turned out.
"It was a good way to finish it off, got an assist with Bailey," she said. "It was a good way to end it."
The Mariners kept Nikiski on its heels throughout the second half, blasting 19 shots at the Nikiski goaltender, Sarah Herrin, but she stopped them all.
"She is by far the best goalie in our conference and even perhaps in our region," said Todd.
Kathryn McCarron, Homer's keeper, stopped all five of Nikiski's attempts.
The Mariners finished the regular season 8-1 overall and 4-1 in conference to earn the No. 2 seed in the southern division at the region tournament beginning Friday.
They will face Grace Christian in the first round at 3 p.m. at Colony High School.
Their lone loss came against Kenai late last month, who earned the top seed.
"Kenai is by far the toughest competition on the Peninsula," said Todd. "It's tough being second, but it also makes us work harder as we know they have a good team and we have the potential to upset the number one seed at regions or state."

Senior night started a day early for the girls soccer team and continued through the weekend as the Mariners won two games on goals from their veterans.
