More than a touch 'n' go
Chapman School students line up to enter an Air National Guard C-130 Hercules airplane last Thursday at the Homer Airport. As part of a unit on air travel and the military in Alaska, history teacher Gary Van Hooser asked the Air National Guard to allow sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade students to tour the plane when a flight crew from the 144th Airlift Squadron brought it to Homer on a training mission.
