May 5

A woman at 8:58 a.m. reported finding possible drug paraphernalia on Crittenden Drive.

A man at 9:09 a.m. reported items missing from a boat that had been moored at the harbor.

May 6

A man at 12:49 a.m. walking up East Hill Road asked for help after possibly seeing a bear on the road side. Police gave the man a ride home.

A man at 2:41 a.m. reported a man outside his Linda Court apartment yelling and banging on doors.

A woman at 9:46 a.m. reported people on a porch at a Main Street house smoking marijuana. Police asked the people to be mindful of neighbors.

A woman at 1:52 p.m. came to the police station to report she had made it home safely after being reported missing.

Police at 6:35 p.m. stopped a 38-year-old man on the Homer Spit and arrested him on two outstanding warrants.

Police at 8:05 p.m. made a traffic stop on an 18-year-old man on East End Road and recovered a federal sign from his pickup.

May 7

A man at 6:10 p.m. reported a problem with repossessed truck tires.

Police at 11:38 p.m. arrested a 35-year-old man for violation of probation because he was drunk.

May 8

Police at 2:06 a.m. seized drug paraphernalia from a man.

Police at 6:56 a.m. arrested a 41-year-old man at Mile 169 Sterling Highway for driving while license revoked.

A woman at 8:38 a.m. reported her guitar was stolen out of her unlocked car.

A man at 2:23 p.m. reported an area near Kachemak Way has become a gathering spot for juveniles.

A man at 5:22 p.m. reported vandalism and graffiti at a vacant Noview Avenue lot.

A man at 6:12 p.m. reported juveniles making lewd gestures and wearing suggestive signs on Waddell Way.

A woman at 6:30 p.m. reported an attempted burglary at a Fireweed Lane home.

Police at 9:05 p.m. stopped a 51-year-old woman driving near Mile 170 Sterling Highway and arrested her for driving while license revoked.

A man at 10:16 p.m. made a 911 call that he was beaten by a woman at a Little Fireweed Lane home. Police responded and determined the complaint was unfounded.

Police at 11:37 p.m. stopped a 46-year-old man driving on Pioneer Avenue and arrested him for DWLR.

May 9

A harbor officer at 2:27 a.m. reported drivers spinning brodies in the old chip pad area off Freight Dock Road. Police told the drivers to leave.

A man at 6:29 a.m. made a 911 call that he needed to get items from his girlfriend's locked home on Tamara Street. At the same time the girlfriend called saying the man was trying to get in. Police responded.

A man at 10:12 reported two dogs harassing a calf moose in the Alder Lane area.

A woman at 10:39 a.m. reported someone camping in the woods near Paul Banks Elementary School.

A woman at 11:26 a.m. reported someone dumped a pile of trash on Bishop's Beach, possibly for a bonfire.

A woman at 12:05 p.m. reported a three-vehicle accident with minor injuries on Pioneer Avenue near Main Street.

A hospital employee at 12:18 p.m. reported a patient refused to leave the hospital after being denied pain medication. The employee called later and said the patient had left.

A woman at 12:34 p.m. reported someone sold her car without her knowledge.

Police at 4:25 p.m. received a call from a Lifeline service that a woman client reported a man enter her home without her permission. Police responded.

Police at 9:06 p.m. contacted a man camping in the woods near Paul Banks Elementary School. Police told the man to leave immediately and to remove his belongings by 8 a.m. May 11 or they would be impounded.

A woman at 10:30 p.m. reported possible drug activity in the Tulin Bluff area.

Police at 10:41 p.m. arrested a 25-year-old man for failure to appear in court.

May 10

Police at 1:26 a.m. stopped a 40-year-old man driving on East End Road and arrested him for driving under the influence.

A man at 3:38 a.m. made a 911 call of a verbal dispute that happened earlier in the day at a Svedlund Avenue apartment. Police responded and noticed the apartment was in disarray.

A woman at 6:45 p.m. reported a friend's Poppy Circle house might have been broken into. Police responded.

A woman at 11:21 p.m. reported a prowler in the Main Street area.

May 11

A man at 3:31 a.m. reported a man lying on the side of the Sterling Highway near Mile 172. Police took the man into protective custody.

A 53-year-old man at 8:30 a.m. reported to the police station to serve a jail sentence. Police found the man had an outstanding warrant.

A jail officer at 12:04 p.m. reported a 26-year-old man in custody destroyed the fire alarm in a cell.

A woman at 2:10 p.m. reported theft of fuel from a tank at her Hohe Street property.

A woman at 4:49 p.m. reported her son was destroying her Danview Avenue house. Police responded and found all to be OK.

A man at 8:37 p.m. reported a drunk man left a Pioneer Avenue restaurant driving a white Ford pickup truck. Police located the suspect and charged a 51-year-old man with DUI.

A caller at 10:11 p.m. reported underage drinking on the Spit. Police responded and issued a summons to an 18-year-old woman for minor consuming alcohol.

May 12

Police at 2:20 a.m. contacted people in the Dehal Avenue area and issued a summons to an 18-year-old man for MCA.
