Homer resident, Ms. Phyllis Marie Hoffman, 93, died Friday, April 17, 2009, at Friendship Terrace Assisted Living, where she had lived the past five years.

"Her life spanned many years and many places. Her sense of humor, spunkiness and compassion will be greatly missed," her family wrote.

She leaves behind her daughter, Christine Hoffman Riggs, her daughter-in-law, Marleen Hoffman; grandchildren, Dan and Kara, and five great-grandchildren.
