Coco is red and "bushy." With that appearance, and at a tubby 25 pounds, she has been mistaken for tumbleweed when seen chasing four-wheelers off her property an activity she enjoys, according to shelter staff. While this means Coco, who is spayed, needs to be fenced in, she reportedly does not chase cars.
If you'd like to adopt a pet, call or stop by the Animal Shelter across from Public Works off the Sterling Highway. The shelter is open seven days a week, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Call 235-3141.
Coco is a loving terrier mix. At only 18 months old, she is good with other dogs and kids, although she still likes to defend her owner's front door from the usual parade of visitors.
